Raahein regularly collaborates with various other organizations and individuals in order to enhance, strengthen and expand its programmes. These include:

National Book Trust who have been providing subsidised books for our children. Apart from this, the children of Kusumpur Pahari, under the aegis of Raahein, have been putting up plays, skits and songs at the National Book Trust hall during the World Book Fair since 2011.

Voice Society, New Delhi and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with whom Raahein conducted a programme for financial-literacy aimed at adolescents in Kusumpur Pahari (Financial Literacy and You- FLY). The goal of the project was to equip them with knowledge about the Indian banking system and the various avenues for investment. Publicizing and connecting the target group to the government social security and insurance schemes were among the objectives. Raahein was able to open bank accounts of more than a hundred children through this project.

University of Newcastle in England which has been regularly sending students from its architecture department to visit India to study the housing patterns here. Raahein facilitates these visits to Kusumpur Pahadi slum and villages in Alwar district. Such visits are also occasions for them to interact with the local people.

Go Dharmic, an NGO based in Uttarakhand and Raahein mobilized children, teachers and other stakeholders of a school in Todiyar village to design an appealing library corner by creating a theme-based painting on a wall with bright and attractive colours. This space is now being used as a recreational centre.

Senior Citizens’ Welfare Association, Vasant Kunj who along with Raahein holds a series of competitions in painting, singing and dancing etc. Moreover their melas provide an opportunity to sell products made by women and children from slums. Our beneficiaries sometimes use their medical facilities at subsidised rates.

Inner Wheel Club of Delhi, Vasant Kunj which organizes educational trips for children of Dellhi slums like visits to planetarium and museums.

Two government schools in Alwar district- Government middle school in Todiyar and Senior Secondary school in Chandoli with whom Raahein holds workshops related to education. Raahein also provides books for competitive exams to senior school children and equipment for outdoor games like badminton, hockey and cricket. Four girls of Todiiyar village had done their school proud by getting selected to the district level hockey team. Raahein has gifted good quality hockey sticks to the school to further this activity.

Private tutors with whom Raahein networks in order to create a tutors’ pool which gives free/subsidised tuitions to promising children from poor families. This experiment has been successful as it not only helps these children perform better academically but also gives them an opportunity to interact with children from more privileged backgrounds.

Girish benefitted from Raahein’s endeavour to connect poor students in need of tuitions to tutors willing to help. As a result, Girish, a potential school dropout, was able to finish not only his school education but also finish college. He is now successfully employed.

Hospitals like the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre and Fortis hospital with whose help Raahein provides medical facilities for the underprivileged by arranging sfree or subsidized consultation, hospital beds, medicines, and so on.

Neha, a teenager, was unable to walk after a surgery for TB. Indian Spinal Injuries centre did a commendable job, in giving intensive physiotherapy to her free of charge for almost three months. Subsequently, she was able to walk. Now she is married with a child.
